Hey Guys,
Just wondering how long I should use the 100ml pouch of purigen and the smallest bag of chemi pure elite (6.5oz ?) in my 12g nanocube ?
I do a 3-4 gallon water change every week.
I`ve been changing them every month .

When the bag of Purigen turns beige, it's time to regenerate with bleach.

Depending on how large a bio load you currently have, I would say every month to every other month.

I'd say you're pretty much on target. I also like to rinse them in fresh ro/di water once a week to wash away any detritus that accumulates on the bags.

You can actually reuse the purigen pouches if you soak them in bleach. I believe there are instructions in the purigen box. Follow them to the T. I did not let the bag dry out completely one time and completely devastated a few nice colonies.

yep, regeneratable using bleach, i get about a half dozen uses and rotate 3 bags thru

I just replace the bags each month. They are about $12 for the purigen.

Can I have all your old bags??? I've been regenerating them for years! As long as they bleach white, they're still good.

Puffer. Sure thing. I only need one at a time but I can bring you the one or two that I have now when I pick up my palys for the grow out. I think you live near dan right?
