Hungry Painted Angler

I got a painted angler about 3 months ago and have been housing him in my biocube. He was very calm and wasn't real interested in my other fish. He eats ghost shrimp everyday and is very picky with foods. As I was watching him last night I just saw him like freak out start like spinning around, then I notice he had my green chromis(about2.5") in his mouth and he was choking him down. My only question concern is that he will eat
More of my livestock, I had fed him a shrimp previously to him eating my chromis. Does anyone have any advice or similar stories from the angler family? Thanks for all your help

Yes he will eat anything or try tp eat anything he can fit in his mouth mine ate a clown that was larger than hom i havnt had the time to try frozen feedings but i stock his tank with damsels and thats what he eats i hope soon as he gets larger ill get hom on frozen

its probably best to keep a species only tank.. Its a hit or miss with putting fish in the tank.. i have a black clinfish in my nuvo tank and my frogfish hasnt ate him yet.. but i knw once my frogfish will get bigger there is a good chance he will be frogfish food..

Also i heard from a friend that they will in rare cases eat hermit crabs so in my tank i avoid putting them in the tank.. after my friends frogfish ate the hermit crab shell and all the frogfish soon passed away..
