Ich

My Tomini tang has ich. I've tried ginger and garlic for about a week now and he's getting worse. To the point that I'm going to hospitalize him in a 20 gal. The plan is to treat with formalin and hypo salinity. I'm sure I will have to tear my tank apart to catch him, but I think its serious enough that that is what needs to be done.
The display tank has 2 wrasses, 2 firefish, and a maroon clown. No signs on any of them. Now to leave the tank fallow I need to put them in my 55 qt tank right?
My question is do I need to treat them as well? Formalin bath, hypo, etc.
I really want to get this cleaned up before I set up the 250.
Thanks

No, I'm not a communist..
ALL fish in your display tank must be treated in hypo. Your tank needs to be left fallow for 8 weeks. I would not use meds with hypo. Ich is a FW parasite. Your fish have Cryptocaryn or Crypt.

although I can't guarantee it will eradicate it from your system.
Yes, Yes and Yes. Especially no meds with hypo.

If you're going to do it right, then treat all fish and go fallow. There seem to be 2 types of people, those who have lost entire tanks and now QT religiously and those who's luck hasn't run out yet.
