It wasn't doing good anyway no bringing it back now but wanted to see if I got any flatworms or pests out that would cause its condition. In trash now!

Def not stomatela. I remember reading somewhere about a rolly Polly looking pest that was not good but can't find thread.

No I figured it wouldn't live I just wanted to see if I found any flatworms or something that was causing to not open

So you killed your coral just to see if flatworms were the reason for it not opening completely? I understand it didnt open for a period but that doesnt mean it was dead or dying. Not to offend you but that logic and thought process is seriously flawed.

It hadn't opened for 3 weeks believe me I did not really want to do that but thought was sacrifice one to save the rest. Had numerous people tell me get it out of there. New to hobby and going away this week it was lesser of 2 evils. And there is no offending me! Old school american!

Also wasn't opening at all not even partially. Tried moving around tank once a week. Nothing would get this guy out.

I understand your thought process, however it's doubtful that if you had pests they would be only on one piece of coral...if you were looking for confirmation of a pest to then treat the whole tank, while i totally disagree with the sacrifice, I get it.

Lots of soft corals pull in and "wax" up for long times. Quick dip would have been fine, unless it is big and melting I let stuff run its course.
