I'm blind! (not really)

So i replaced my 150w radium yesterday, and hot dog, is the new one bright! I was almost blinded.. haha. It is also very very white... I don't remember my old one being that white before break in. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Yeah, I went from a 10K to 14K a few months ago and it also blinded me switching to a new bulb, I guess we don't realized how much our old bulbs weaken with time, then we switch to the new bulb and realize how bright metal hallides can get.

also all my old ones were radiums too. i buy from PA

i have a brand other than radium and it is same way 14 k but really white

I see the light and it burns!!! I replaced my 250 s and tripped walkin away from the tank

I'm trying to go LED, having a hard time deciding which brand. I also have a deep tank, 30inches deep.
