Got home from work this working to find my return pump not working so I reach into the stand to unplug it and plug it back in and I get electrocuted. I also notice the hose from my ato is not in the sump and the inside of my sump is wet. Found out the power cord for my return had a slight break in it (not sure where it came from). So the water got into that break and fried the ac/dc adapter. After looking online to see if anyone carried the adapter I decided to try my Asus laptop adapter and boom Houston we have power. So if any of you guys fry your ac adapter don't freak out just plug your laptop adapter in and keep the pump running. On a positive note I got to clean the pump!

Glad to know everything is ok. I hope u have a gfci installed. Would of sucked if u would of put ur hands in the water.

The stray voltage was coming off the ac adapter and the ac adapter was touching the sitting water in the stand and that's what got me. Tank water was fine
