Love this hammer.
This is my little reef that I started in early April. I haven’t killed anything yet and have been able to keep my maintenance to a manageable minimum. I do a 3-4 gallon water change every 14-16 days. I keep Pura Complete and Pura Filtration Pad in the second chamber. I use a Rio 800 pump and Koralia 425 for circulation. There’s 25 lbs LR and 1” of aragonite sand.
I haven’t glued any frags to the rock yet and was hoping there might be some sort of rubbery/silicone-y product that I could adhere to plugs and provide enough friction/resistance to secure but not permanently affix to the rock. I haven’t found anything similar yet and suspect I’m going to have to glue ‘em down soon. At the very least, I’ll have to secure zoas to the rock to make room on the sandbed as it may just a matter of time before the hammer stings the acan. I’m upgrading to a 40 breeder and still in the researching sump/skimmer/ATO stage but hopefully have it set up by end of year.
I can stare at this little cube for hours and I do. I’m thankful to the folks I’ve met who have been generous with their knowledge and frags.
