yep, it'll be a lot of trial and error and take forever considering how long each test could last. I tried looking for he NASA recipe which ecosphere used to make theirs, but was unable to find and scientific material on creating a sealed system.

Ideally it'd take a reation chamber. Measure the o2, co2 and other elements on demand during a growth cycle of a sphere and then replicate the ideal bioload mix. Just don't foresee myself being dropped into a lab of that caliber anytime soon :D

Quick update.

Containers Right to left;
1. The original is unchanged.
2. The control has almost no sign of any life, maybe just a tiny bit of green algea.
3. The copepods died after 1.5 days of sealing it. Since the green algea from the tank scraping are taking hold.
4. This was the most suprising. Animals of several speies lived for a couple weeks. The cyno died off after he intial bloom, but has come back in force.
