LED fixture

im going to be building a LED fixture next week and its going to go over my 12gl jbj nano. should i hang it? or should i chop up the hood and put it in there. i personally hate closed hood tanks and always have it open. but would a hanging fixture over this tank be appropriate. i have an idea of how im going to hang it and attach it already if thats what i end up doing.

I always go with open top tanks.
Great for air exchange and heat exchange.
If it were me, Id custom make a post mount behind the tank and hang it. Im not too big on semi-permanently mounting light fixtures due to my many changes in this hobby. :)

I do not buy any notorious jumpers, and have yet to have a fish jump out of my rimless tanks.

We have an open top tank, but built a screen from plastic landscaping mesh and window frames from home depot.

We had both a midas blenny and a blue jaw trigger jump before putting the tops on.

The mesh doesn't block any light, but does keep the fish in. My LED lights are hung from the ceiling so they are out of the way.

I have leds on my 29 bio. You could hang from ceiling quite easily once you find stud or a piece of conduit bent and painted black will work pretty good too. I'm gonna do pipe next weekend

I was thinking two electrical pipes bent and painted black and running my power through there. Well see how it goes tho then maybe I'll drop some cheato in one of the chambers.
