Do you guys think this will work for a refugium with chaeto? My big thing is not having to replace bulbs.

- Color: Black
- Power: 3.5W
- Input: AC 85~260V
- Output: DC 15V
- Working temperature: 20~50'C
- 40-LED White Light + 8-LED Blue Light
- 2 lighting modes: all 48-LED lights on / only blue lights on
- Color temperature: 7000K
- Comes with AC 85~265V power adapter (2-flat-pin plug / 120cm cable)

i also have a question do you guys think that a 2x24watt would grow cheato and other types of macro algea

Danny, that looks like it should work but I've never used an LED for my fuge. I always go simple. I have a clamp light from Ace and a CFL bulb. The bulbs would have to be changed but it probably wouldn't be for a while.

Krocky, 2x24w would grow macro algae but why waste a light like that on it.

I dont know if thats strong enough. Its good wattage, but its made up of a bunch of weak LEDs.
I use the 5000k PAR LED bulb from Lowes and it works great

Because I have an extra light since I just got a new light for the 55. I going to start a fuge in a 10gallon tank

for like $25 it would be easy to build one, 10w heat sink with fan, 3up epistars with either 2 red and 1 blue or 1 red, one white and one blue and a 12 v wall wart to run everything.

I may go with this then....is there any issues with condensation buildup on the bulb or clamp light base?

That already sounds too complicated...

I use this for my fuge. No heat and it stays on 24/7. It's gotten wet and still works. Fell into the sump too.
