GO ON I DARE YA! JUST SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MY 35G SOON TO BE REEF TANK.

...In all seriousness though, Ive voted against the peacock mantis for the time being, so just going to join the stick party ;) so in need opinions and thoughts as how to light my 35" long 14" deep reef tank.

Lets play some guess who, reefer edition, shall we?

Ok name a Reef led light fixture that is dim-able, is strong enough for sps growth and makes them look .... super View attachment 13754

also, has to be within the 200$ price range, don't really want to go over that because 200$ is pretty much my paycheck lol and I want some spending money for coral ;)

So lets hear it! anyone have a spare fixture,or know of a reliable nice led fixture that will have me dazed for days? If possible would like to have more than just blue/white leds..throw in some color like red, green, etc etc

Evergrow d120 full spectrum. $180 is retail ill have one available in a month or so for $150 it will be 2 months old by then. It is a temporary until I get my controllable models from CoralCompulsion. Pm me if you are interested.

Since his tank is only 14" deep he can raise the light higher above the tank to achieve the desired spread and still maintain par. These fixtures are made to penetrate up to 30" deep.

Sorry didn't mean to come off snippy. I have par bulbs from coralcompulsion and they are great but to light a 36" tank I think an led panel is best and coral compulsion makes one but they are $260 so an evergrow panel is the next best and in the budget set by the op.

I have the CC120 that coral compulsion sells. I have had it for about a month and all of my corals have colored up a lot in that time. I know its 260 and you wanted something under 200 but in my opinion it is the best light that is going to give you the best color for the lowest price. I dont think i will ever switch. However, if that is out of the budget right now I may have some leds that I have been thinking about selling since I got my new light. PM me if you are interested.

Def look into evo quad led u can get a 36" for 200 plus shipping plus the LEDs are 3w i have 48" over mine I've had it for 8 months n its doin awesome

Yes same situation as an evergrow led if you raise it a little higher it will cover the tank and since your tank is shallow you will maintain par levels
