Please join us for this years Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) at the HyVee hall in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. MACNA is the largest & oldest marine aquarium conference in North America. MACNA is an exciting, annual event you can listen to lectures from any and every field related to reef keeping. Subjects from conservation to reef chemistry, to equipment and husbandry, there is something for everyone.
We hope you can join us. With rooms for $91 and with in driving distance you don't want to sit this one out!

We are glad to have you guys! I hope more of Chicago Reefers can come. Jeni, wish I could hook you up with passes. Eric, Sunday is the big raffle day so not a bad plan. I think we will draw for the 200g deep tank package then so bring a pickup just in case!
Its nice to hear some people are fired up. Thanks for posting see you at MACNA 2011!!!

MACNA 2011 updates

Right now prices for MACNA are...

$50 for a single day pass to speakers and trade show floor on Friday or Saturday, only $30 on Sunday!
$150 for a full pass including reception dinners and all three days!
Hotels starting at $91 a night!

As for the show and raffle...

16 world renowned speakers and reefer's corner demonstrations!
Biggest MACNA raffle yet including many thousands of dollars worth of prizes!
Well over a hundred Exhibitor's have already registered!
The dinners are sure to be a good time and don't forget the parties after the show!

Don't miss this event it's so close to home!!!

The ONLY thing I care about regarding MACNA, four words:

ORA Black Snowflake Ocellaris

I really want to know pricing and availability of these fish. I will be one of those fools that will overpay to have em first.

haha, they are cool. Are you going to be at macna? ORA may sell them sunday at break down... I don't know if they do or not.

No, I'm not going, but I doubt they will be selling any, they may have one or two just to show off, if at all is my guess...

If they are selling em there and you can hook me up then heck yea I would be interested. I wonder if you have to have an account with them to even buy at the show or if they make exception for the event and sell to the public there.

That's a good question, and I guess I won't know until there. I've only heard that DFS doesn't sell at the end of the show, but must all others do because they don't want to spend the $$$ to transport the livestock back, just to turn around and sell it.
