Magnesium. What's the difference?

I'm looking on the bulk reef website and see they have two types of magnesium. Magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate. Is one better then the other, do they do the same thing?
 
What are you looking to do? Just bump overall Mg? If so just get Epson Salt (Magnesium Sulfate) at your local grocery store and use it. Just measure is out. You can use this calculator. http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html

Do not increase the Mg more that 30-40ppm at one time. Wait 72 hours repeat if needed

they mix both bc over time if no wc r done the sulfate levels r elevated to high with just using mag sulfate but if ur doin wc +1 on epsom salt mcuh cheaper
 
Just buy the smallest size BRS offers, it last for awhile especially if you are doing water changes. I was only needing to does 2 minutes a day (2.2ml) to maintain my levels with a 265 gallon mixed reef.
