New Tank - new rock. I am thinking of going MarcoRock's Key Largo Rock, Pre Cured. Does anyone have experiance with their product?
Already been cured - what does that really mean? Plop it right in the tank?
Thank you for any info/experiance you have with this stuff.

I've used it on my previous tanks. a 40 gallon breeder and a midi. Both turned out fine. its cheaper than buying live rock and better on the environment. You just need to seed it with some bacteria or with a piece of live rock. The shapes you get are real nice and would recommend them. It will take time to get coralline on the rocks but afterwards, they look like any other live rock.

The rocks could release chemicals into your tank, so it being CURED just means its ready to use out of the box.

With that being said, my current build I am going to use premium aquatics Manado live rocks. I just got it in today and couldn't be happier.

I love marco rock. I have 25lb of the key largo and couldn't be happier. Just seed with a piece of live rock or add some microbacter7.

I'm also in the market for dry rock and they have great pricing.I'm also looking for a local source.

Love the Marco Rock... You can't beat the price of their shipped packages, plus if you tell them what size your tank is when you order, they will send you appropriate size rocks.

I have 2500 pounds of dry reef rock arriving in the nest week (hopefully) but i have 300-400 pounds now adam87 and badgus have some of the rock if you would like to ask questions.

Not to hijack the thread, but in about one week I will have several hundred pounds of live rock that has been in a reef system for over 3 years. This rock has been in a 100 gal stock w/out light, so there is nothing growing on it...expect for pods:).

Rock will be $1/lb as I am trying to clear this out.

I did a nano 25lb purchase and it arrived in a couple days. It is a outstanding product and I would buy it again. -- from the marco rock website. whats also nice is some pieces kinda break off during shipping and now I have a box-o-rubble for frags...
