So i am in the process of setting up a 150 tall. I am almost done with the stand and I come across a thread that says marine land DD tanks amd larger tanks are known to leak. I google it and boom tons of threads of marinelands leaking. I got the 150g from a CMAS member. It was new in the packaging. Now I dont think i should move further willing to hire someone to resilicone it professionally

my fish guy told me a customer of his had one leak. it was a larger tank , like 125 ot bigger. I have a 75 gallon from them. I'm going to trust it. I inspected it and didn't see any issues

I think you should just go ahead and use it. I'm not surprised that you found a lot of results with your Google search but that's true of any product. People will more likely post when they're unhappy than when they got a good product. Whether you buy a Land Rover or a Saturn there's always a chance, albeit slim that you are getting a "lemon". Unfortunately in this case there's 150 of water and expensive livestock to consider.

My Marineland 150 DD we found it leaking from the bottom Today. They will refund the tank and stand but the question is I have to buy a new tank now which brand is Good, Reliable and has good Warranty? This information would be helpful! Cheers...

I ran a 75 for ten yrs no issues. But i have heard the bigger ones have issues some times but can happen with any tank

The tank failed because of missing silicone between bottom panel and sidewall...resulting in lost of adherance and catastrophic failure. Finition joint will hold for some time but will give up due to structural failure.

Marineland Big Tanks have structural issues !!!

he what color silicone did they use. Idk if it makes a difference but maybe just to compare how similar the tanks are that have found to leak.

The deep dimension tanks have developed a reputation for springing leaks, catastrophic failures, etc... From what I have read it usually happens in the bottom seam on the center of the front panel. I have not heard of issues with their Non deep dimension tanks
