Marine roly-poly?

I've noticed that I have a good many of these in my sand. They appear to be segmented with a hard shell, and can move fairly quickly on legs too small to see. They all have varying black and white patterns. Every now and then I see one on coral but they don't appear to be eating or irritating. Curl into a ball when you pick them up... Anyone have an ID?

Chiton.
Snail, doesn't have legs.
Most are considered good guys.
