I over dosed instant ocean marine conditioner during a water change, I have a 150 total system and the bottle that treats 400 gal was put in. I'm loosing all my coral fast. Any thoughts on running carbon??????

Make up some new water fast and do about a a 50% water change fast then run carbon also try to get someone to house what's left

What the heck are you using that stuff for? It's only dechlorinator, it shouldn't be causing your corals to die.
Principle Ingredients: Biopolymers, Chelating Compounds and Reducing Agents.

If you need water I have 150 gallons ready to go!

Mike thank you for your generous offer, I had 35 gal top off and 35 pre made I did a water change and making more for tonite. I would love to see your set up some time :)

Here is the response from Instant Ocean

Hello,

Wow, we are sorry to hear this happened! Besides the water change, yes, carbon will help remove it. However, it actually leaves the system within a matter of about 3-4 minutes, and no longer has any affect, so any other loss may be due to the initial effects eventually taking their toll.

I have never used this before and had gotten it from the swaps in the bag and thought can't hurt. I dosed and the set the bottle down and when I turned it have fallen into my sump, so helpless trying scoop it out haha. The carnage and mayhem was massage. I think that it took something out and caused the poison to spreed lost all hard corals, both rbta, most snails, urchin but the live stock still looking good.
When people say that good things take a long time in this hobby and bad things happen fast, I didn't think a total loss in 2 days....

Anytime something happends or looks stressed..... HUGE water change will usually solve ANY problem... But that is if u have water on hand. Sorry GL
