metro and fucus

keep em coming guys . thanks for info i read all about this stuff and what its suposse to do but some stuff sounds to good to be true . i been mixes with there food everyday for last 5 days now maybe longer not sure lol . only three fish show signs and all new still keeping eye on em oredered new uv bulbs mine r at end of life any way and qt is ready just in case. i got these meds few months ago when had some fish get ich from lfs and only used 2 day then said screw it through em in copper for 4 days put em back in dt and they still fine . like i said just want to here how many people this worked for and how many it didnt .

ok update . i did yank the moorish and tang out of tank for a week . they just had to many spots for my likeing so i treated with copper . i replaced my bulb in uv it was old and put fish back in system after a week of treatment . i never stopped feeding tank the metro focus mix same with qt . next day they both had few spots which i expected but lot less. its been i think a week now back in tank and moorish idol seems to have built a immune system to it hes looking great tang still has few spots but nothing alarming . id say its been 3 weeks of feeding this stuff . to many variables to say if it works really imo. the spots r going away i did cheat alittle but also food has ginger in it which works really good for boosting immune system so not sure if u can give the metro focus mix credit for doing anything . i made the food already so will use it and most likely buy more and just keep mixing in food guess it cant hurt . in my oppinion even if it does work if u have a bad out break or dont catch it fast enough with out a uv to help keep ich numbers down u probably will lose fish . and u also have to be good with disease identifing if u wrong about it being ich and its velvet well u fish be dead so keep that in mind. my first few years in this hobby was horrible losing fish left and right from deseases now gotten good at it freinds just drop off sick fish and pick up in week . lately lot of flukes problems

Since I don't QT anything, I unfortunately had been fighting it for a couple months.

I bought focus and metro, mixed with food as directed and treated for an entire month. That month ended on the 1st of March and I've seen no indications that it's back. I'm thinking that in 7 days of stopping treatment, I would have seen something already so it seems to have worked.

Some people say it works, some say it doesn't, but personally, if you treat every single day like you're supposed to, I don't see how it wont work. It's too early to tell but I haven't seen a spot, but you're supposed to wait 30 days and observe, then treat again if you see it.

yea i cant say it did or didnt i think in my case maybe to many variables . 30 days is long time to work and whos to say the fish just fought it off . i have like ten fish in that system and only 2 ever had a spot on them . so i cant really say yes or no in my case at least . im still going to finish the treatment and buy more to always have food on hand with it in it and may even just keep feeding all time . focus is suposse to be for internal parasites least thats what bottle or web site said i read it some where lol so might not be bad thing to always feed with it specially new fish . its not that expensive at ocean design one bottle was like 12 dollars other was 11 dollars and makes alot of food

i using it right now (metro and focus) im mixing it to food mix with garlic. i have a kole with ich , rest fish where finne after 7-8 days feeding with this my kole maybe have 2 spots on him will continue this for week more. im also feeding alot my fish looks like pigs, but works fine im happy

Lol. I just noticed you typed fucus instead of focus on the thread title. Makes me think of the fortune teller scene in Mallrats.

So i got sick 2 thursdays ago came home feed the fish the medicated food passed out left all the food out. Woke up next day afternoon i should say and smelled it lol. Any way too sick to go buy some waited till monday but fish were clear and i treated well over 30 days. My new mix i made i mixed focus metro spiralina brine mysis and pellets then added prazi to the mix . I want to feed for least another month then have some in freezer at all times but fish look happy and ich free so im happy happy happy

So was just looking thru new foster and smith catalog and was checking out the meds when i see metro listed as good for treating hole in the head and lateral line too ? Any body else hear of that before. None my fish have itbut was intrigued. Wasnt seachem brand but was metro plus was another med with metro that said same thing . First im hearing of this
