Your sticks are all branching upwards. Mine choose to encrust a lot before branching up. Must be coz you leave them on frag plugs, so they have nowhere else to go but up.

Niño not sure how much of that is true but heard more flow means more encrusting and with light stronger more spread out light also means more encrusting ..

Ohh and more fragging causes more branching out ..

It also depends on the species of corals.
The dragons barely encrust, and only shoot up.
Same thing with my RR Yellow Mamba.
