Its so stressful to move around tanks, especially when you have it set up like you want it.Thats why many people just sell of their set ups or livestock and start over , its easier.
me? Ive moved mine around quite a bit with few casualties.Just get a few very patient friends, some beers for afterwards. Its not impossible, its just hard work. And you need to plan it very precisely so you dont lose livestock or damage equipment.
You will def need a new sandbed ready.
Rubbermaids for your rock.
one for fish, and one for coral/inverts.some jugs if you want to use some of your existing water.
extra heaters.
fish store plastic bags.
Bubble wrap for your tank and expensive equipment and so on.Ive had my livestock survive in plastic containers for 3 days with just a heater and water change from old tanks water while my new tanks sandbed settles and the rock works its magic to absorb a mini cycle in case of die off.
Prime products on hand to help stabilize the tank quickly.
You get the idea.Hard, stressful, time consuming....but doable.this is how ive done it.
And a beer and a spliff to finish off a job well done
Unless you live 3 stories up and have to move to 5 stories up now.....forget about it xD
