Hi,
Has anyone in the Chicagoland area seen Mr. Aqua tanks for sale? I would like to see one in person before I buy one.
Thanks,
Bill

Not close but they did have Mr Aqua tanks.

I called Golden yesterday they had some but they didn't have the one I wanted so I ordered it off of marinedepot.com Old Town has them as well.

I believe it was the 11.4 gallon rectangular. I believe the dimension are 18X11X11 or right around there. It was the only option that was under 20" long that I could find. Didn't want a biocube.

Did you end up getting the Mr. Aqua tank?

If you haven't, don't bother. Got mine on Friday from marinedepot and they did a fantastic job packing it. But, I filled it with water to do the leak test and it started to leak immediately from the bottom seam. Very crappy silicone job. Called them and sent it right back. They offered to replace it but I didn't want to go through that again if it leaked. I will say that marinedepot does have excellent customer service and they pack the items they ship really really well. Mr. Aqua needs to hire people who know how to seal a joint and/or leak test them first.

I was debating to get one of those too, wanted to do anemone and clownfish tank plumed to my 120 gal. but saw few negative posts just like yours. I end up getting this : http://www.finnex.net/index.php?opt...7&product_id=270&Itemid=61&vmcchk=1&Itemid=61
This tank is excellent built ,super clear glass, 8mm thick and great silicone work. It also has dimensions that would work for you. Best part it is non tempered so you can drill it. Check those out. http://www.finnex.net/index.php?opt...7&product_id=270&Itemid=61&vmcchk=1&Itemid=61

Hey thanks for the tip! I just ended up getting a plain old 10 gallon! It was kinda disappointing but the 10 gallon ended up working fine. Not as nice looking but functional and made in the US. It's funny how the hundreds of tanks I sold when I worked at a pet shop when I was younger never came back leaking. They were all manufactured in the US. I buy my first tank made overseas and it leaks! Never again unless it's an ADA. Those finnex are really nice too!

ddiomede- I haven't ordered one yet. Thanks for the info. That really sucks because the mr. Aquas have the perfect dimensions for me.

MMreef- do you have your Finnex tank set up yet?? Any pics?? I plan on doing the same thing you are. I want to plumb it into my 120 as a frag tank. I have everything I need except for the tank :)

No,not yet. I will be doing it during holidays,as I will have a lot of time off from work. You will love this tank if you see it in person. Very quality glass and workmanship.

It looks like the site you provided has free shipping over $75. Was yours shipped for free? How long did it take to get to your house?? Sorry for all of the questions :fisheye:

I actually got my from Old Orchard Aquarium. They had one in store. I don't know about this site, but I researched my tank and that's what came up. I did e-mailed them about drilling it, and got response in 24 hrs., so looks like they are on top of getting back to customers. Try to contact them ,and I am sure you get your questions answered.

I have had my 12Gallon Mr Aqua setup for 3 months, just unloaded all of my frags out of it back into my display. I am selling it though. if anyone has interest.
it is the 3 Foot long one, i have a big 36 inch PC light, Current filter with about 20$ in lockline pieces and heater. $100.

Hi chicagophil -
I am actually looking for a tank with the same dimensions as the 17.4 gallon. I believe the foot print is like 24x12. So the three footer won't work for me. If I may ask, why are you taking yours down?
