Mushroom Propagation

So I have seen some posts about propagating mushrooms by cutting a piece of the Foot. I tried this out I sliced a piece of the foot about a Month ago. Today I noticed a new baby mushroom grew from the piece I cut. Anyone use this technique? If so how often do you cut?
When I cut the mushroom it looked like it was pissed off for about a day and then it went back to normal.

1 month later you can see a tiny mushroom on the base.

Be careful what you wish for. It is very easy for mushrooms to grow out of control and take over a tank.

This was an experiment, just to see if it would work. I’m trying to propagate Jawbreakers at a faster pase. I wouldn’t mind having a tank full of them. This is why I tried with a cheaper mushroom, before I slice a jawbreaker.

I cut them in half right down the middle through the mouth. Some people cut them into 4 pieces, I dont
