My 20G tank

This tank was started about 6 years ago, use a 10 g tank to hide the skimmer and heater. A Yellow Tang was put in the tank a month ago to clean up the caulerpa that grows like crazy.

Nice looking tank. Hope that's not a long term home for that tang. It needs to swim!

Thank you I change 3 g of water monthly. Add 40ml C-Balance weekly (in top off water). I rarely measure the water chemicals. If I do, just the cal and dKh. Lighting is 150W 14,000k metal halide.

Display tank: Was bought at Petsmart, I had a glass shop drilled two holes for overflow and return.
Sump: 10g glass tank
Heater: 100 or 150W, don't remember. Temp is very stable at 78 deg
Top off water: Use two Tom Aqua Lifter pumps from two containers (for two parts of C-Balance)
Light fixture: Marineland 150W 36" metal halide, T5 actinic, I cut it to half size 18" long

Just measured the calcium and dKH a minute ago. cal = 300 (use Salifert) , dKH=5 (use API KH test kit). I measure these two elements every month or two, they are always low. The cal is usually 300 or lower, the dKH is in the range of 5-7.
