My 6 Bulb T5 COMBO....Know A Better One?

Here is my 6 bulb T5 combo.

Aquablue Special
Blue Plus
Blue Plus
AquablueSpecial
Blue Plus
Fiji Purple

I have a few questions....anyone sugges a different T5 combo? Is it better to have fiji purple right in the middle or should I keep it in the back?
How does this combo sound?

BEST COMBO FOR SPS GROWTH?
 
I would put the purple in the middle personally, what types of corals are you keeping? that would help answer if there is a better bulb combo.
 
I use this for my SPS tank
Blue+
ATI Actinic
Coral+
GE 6500
Blue+
Blue+

In the past I used purple + but don't really like it. With GE bulb and coral+ , I have no need for it anymore since they are full spectrum bulbs. I replace it with one actinics that really gives "pop" to my corals.
 
Right now I have front to back:

Blue+ (dawn/dusk)
Fiji Purple (dawn/dusk)
Blue+
Coral+
Actinic 03
Blue+

I really love the color and pop. Some days it feels too blue to me and i think about switching one bulb out and back in my GE 6500k, but I know that I grow tired of the whiter look faster than the bluer look so I leave it alone.
 
I don't know how everyone runs so many white bulbs. My 6 is F - B

I dropped the purple plus too purple. And the 6500k was lighting my coral up.I sswitched to the coral plus and everything is rocking and I have about a 12 to 14k look.

I like this combo too, I tried this for few weeks but I really like how reds look under 6500.
 
I dont have a 6 bulb but my 4 bulbs is

Front to back
Blue plus, purple, blue plus, coral. I think my color is to purple. Any suggestions?
 
even though i have the 36" Gamma, the t5 take up most of the coloring. For now i have
Ati actinic
Purple+
Blue+
Ati actinic

Thinking about swapping a actinic for a Blue+

FTS pictures would go a long way in this thread. You can base your selection off other.
 
The purple+ bulb isn't actually all that purple thou, i don't think swapping that out would make that much a difference, except losing colors in the red/orange/pink corals. I think you are giving up too much of those color spectrums swapping the purple out with a different bulb. Stick with it Joe, you'll learn to appreciate the color it adds to your tank.
 
Not knowing what you want achieve on keeping coral wise will be hard to give you the correct combo IMO..

My 8 bulb combo is great and top secret :D Fishbeard helped with the selection and been happy with results..

Maybe try this combo and might have it listed wrong but its a combo ;)

Blue+
Actinic 3 or fiji purple
Coral + or Aquablue special
Blue+
Fiji Purple or Actinic
Blue+

I like the more blue look. Right now it's a blueish purple. Maybe it's placement of the bulbs?
 
That purple bulb is purple. Real purple. I couldn't stand it. My blue corals especially right under the bulb looked so purple. U could see the purple hue
 
STFU DRE! Changing a fixture does'nt change the color of the bulbs! LOL. Dont hate cause i'm having the same growth with 4 bulbs as u are with 8

Im going to disagree with that Joe, you compare the same bulbs side by side in a cheap ebay fixture, an odyssea fixture, a current nova, a Tek, and an ATI fixture, and you will see that you get a significant difference in output from the different quality ballasts driving the bulbs.
