My two new Pico Reef's

Tin, I might have to take you up on that offer. I will have to build it. No idea when Vida will get it back in stock and they weren't much help. Plus the ones they have listed are a little too high for the pico I have. So I have to go DIY. I'll find a nice base and a branch and put those together.

Also, I am thinking if I can not find an arch, or a similar scape for the fluval, then I will go with some tonga in there. I think it will look good with the landscape view.

i was saving some select rock pieces like that with the hopes of setting up a nano in future but looks like thats not anywhere in near future ..

ill def be keeping one flat and one tonga :) let me see what i can fit together with other rock.. i should also be having a little (i think) jb weld...

ill text you

I got a couple peices at Reefwise and a couple peices at AP. It took weeks and I had to ask specifically for them. They both kept getting thick branches. When I broke the tank down, I held onto the Tonga because I didn't want to let them go. I PIFed it to Brandon and Cec for their tank. You might want to PM them to see if they still have and need it.

I honestly missed this post until just now. Weird. But now you can make your own bonsai!

Well it was a fun and interesting day indeed.

I ended up going to new fish. Lo and behold, they had Tonga in stock. Amazing. So I started with the fluval because I liked the piece. It was a little too big for the tank so I had to opt for other pieces. I picked up 4 pieces of Tonga for the tank. I plan on stacking them for a landscape look.

We had a nice one in the store and I didn't take a picture. Now I'm trying to recreate it.

Anyways sand and water are in. Going to start the cycle and see what happens. Tank is cloudy right now but here is a pic. I'll redo the scape once the water clears up tomorrow.

Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis say hello too.

Now onto the bonsai! Of course I was not expecting to find both tanks rocks but I did! I was granted back room access and they had some rocks ready to sell. I found w perfect flat base, a thick piece of Tonga and then a skinny small piece. I used jb weld and crazy glue to piece all three together. Then put putty over the joints to smooth it out.

I am pretty happy with the results!

Here is a pic......

A little different than the inspiration photo but I like it. The tank in the inspiration photo was much bigger than mine too, making it easier.

My plan is to put GSP on the floor and possibly on the rock base and back wall. Not sure yet. I might do ZOAs on the rock base and GSP on the glass bottom. Then a torch or something on the branches or just ZOAs all over.

Thinking of a yasha or clown goby for this one.

So what do you guys think? Honest feedback, suggestions and ideas are welcomed and much appreciated.

I feel like taking a flat piece of rock and some string and making a tiny swing hang off that branch.
