Need help with my Reef Octopus Sicce Pump

My house have been powerless since 9pm last night, I didn't have a generator, so I was waking up every hour to manually stir my tank, and it seems like my tanks are gonna make it. I didn't get a Generator until this morning when Home Depot opened and thank god I got there in time because I bought the last generator available.
My problem is when I started up my Reef Octopus Extreme with the sicce pump, the pump just kept on vibrating, which it sometimes do when you stop it and start it tonight, which I really hate about the sicce. Now I can't get it to work properly, everytime I start the skimmer, the pump just vibrates and doesn't really pump. Does anyone have experience with the sicce pump and is this a temporary thing or is my pump screwed up?

You should dis-assemble pump and clean if necessary- or possibly the pump ran dry? which would break the shaft- either way don't worry the tank can survive without the skimmer. I have a friend that is swapping a broken sump and he hasn't had anything for 10 days and it's fine. Chances are the pump needs some TLC and it'll kick back on, but this is natural for almost all water pumps on the market.

Had an old Rio that would do that ever time I shut it off for a water change. Gave it a good cleaning and it worked fine.
