Long story short I have I'm donating my peacock mantis to Tethered Limbs, but keeping my two smaller species. However the 40 breeder refugium sump I currently have is doing more bad than good...

A. does white egg crate really leach phosphates? If so.....well...poop.

B. Is there any place you can get a cc120 dimable led light for a bit cheaper besides people selling their old models?

C. I need to redo my sump, and want some professional help doing so/want a sturdy well made sump. Recommendations? Would like to have a fairly large refugium but still needs space for some filter media, protein skimmer, return pump, and heater....

After I sell my brass instruments, this will be easy with the cash flow, but for now its planning until I get the $$$ to do so
 
Considering a lot of us don't splurge for the black eggcrate (myself not included, hehe), no, white eggcrate doesn't leach. Now if it's the other colors that may be painted, then that, Idk.

A pic of the current state of the sump would help...

+1 on will. As for the cc120, they are all dimmable. Or do you mean the P model which is auto dim? Since they are exclusive to coral compulsion, you won't find them any place else new.

White egg crate does leach and so does black. White more then black. But both not crazy amounts. I've had frag tank with both ... And both were leaching so I dumped them. And the leaching went away.

Omg...demmit!! Why God, why??? What about the black rock frag racks? Sorry to go OT OP, but we're all trying to learn, lol
 
Hahahaha...oh you guys... thanks for responding as always. And the reason about the question revolving around the eggcrate is because my sump is divided in two...with eggcrate.... to keep my G. ternatensis from hitting the sump pump....heh..

Ill contact Will and see what sort of sumps he can imagine up... just needs to have a mantis escape proof refugium area..

As for lighting....i might just have to suck up the cost then?
