Nem choosing

Okay so my girlfriend really wants to put a nem in our tank. She wants a RBTA but I think our tank is just to small for one. So if anyone could point me in the direction of a good one to go with that would be great

That's what I was told by a guy at work buy I wanted to ask here first. I'll have to run that past her and see what she says. It's kinda her tank haha
 
I wouldn't put a BTA in a 3 month old tank....also, BTA will walk and sting everything it touches and will outgrow the tank in no time assuming it lives....that exposed heater is a nem killer IMO....
you may be better suited to add rock nems like Josh mentioned or if you're looking for a host for your clowns, consider a nice e colony of Duncan's....
 
No I wasn't planning on adding on anytime soon at all. I'm not doing anything till after the expensive holiday passes haha. Yeah I changed the heater the other day but I really have no where else to put it. And I'll have to look into Duncan's. Thanks
 
what size tank? i have a small nem in a 8.9g tank. its a rainbow so they split before they get too huge.

you can do it imo. but a small nem not from a store but a tank propagated one so its used to tanks. but wait til spring so your tank goes though so maturing like C-Mack says.
 
I was planning on waiting anyways. I just have to wait till I see someone else with a small tank getting rid of one
