Nem in Biocube 29

Hi,

My two clown fish are hosting the heater. I want to get a nem but almost everyone advise against it in such a small tank. What kind of nems would be good for the clowns and size of the tank? What about a rock nem? Do they get big?

Thanks,
Vucious

You could easily add a bubble tip in a 29, but keep in mind that it will grow, can walk around, and will sting/kill most things it touches.

not sure your clowns would play in a rock nem , i have seen many /had nems in a bio cube and main reason for not being advised is they walk , some will have a nem that hasnt walked in years but doesnt mean tonight it wont wonder around .

I've had bubble tips in tanks as small as a 12 gallon, and currently have one in my 29g biocube. There is always the risk of them walking, but usually once they find a happy spot, they tend to stick there.

Yea I've had nems in a small tank. They could walk but once they find their spot they will usually stay put unless stressed.

Lol... your clowns are hosting your heater... I have a RBTA in my regular 29 tank, it does fine. I don't have issues with the original one, but the clones tend to move around to find their own spots.

Hmmm ... sounds like many people have had success with nems in a small tank. I really want one for my clowns so they can stop hosting the damn heater.
