New build- fluval evo 13.5

Got the itch to start a new build a few weeks ago. I recently moved back to my parents house since I started medical school in June. While I had my own place, I had a 90gallon mixed reef and a 28gallon biocube during that time that did very well for a few years.

My lfs had a fluval evo 13.5 that originally was a display, but they needed to used the hood and pump for some reason so it sat in the back as just an extra tank.. I decided to jump on it and they let it go for $40. I figured why not at that price.

Any suggestions on mods before I get it running? I still have equipment from my biocube that I planned to use, I ran a kessil light on it and really liked the results I saw.. any suggestion on pumps, filtration, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Nice. I recently started a evo 5 gallon. Mine had a drain hole towards the bottom of the wall. I sealed it up with silicone. Also i got an in-tank media basket which came with an overflow cover to improve the surface skimming flow.
