New fish suggestions?!?!

I finally caught my tangs and sold them tonight. I'd like to replace them with a couple smaller colorful active reef fish. I have a 65gallon mixed reef with inverts, pair of bw clowns, royal gramma, and flame angel. I'm thinking about anthias, wrasses, fire fish, dwarf angels or blennies but I'd like to hear your suggestions.

How about a six line wrasse? They're colorful and very active. Mine is always zipping in and out of the rocks
 
I would go with a Helfrichi firefish or a a pair if you found one. Their colors are amazing. Or a purple I love their coloration as well(that's why I have one!). Personally I stay away from dwarf angels because they are a hit and miss. Once they are in the tank fish are a pita to get out! I love dwarfs, just would never throw one in my reef. Too much money invested in it for it to become a snack. I know you have one already but hey! Anthias I would say too small of a tank as they love to swim. There's a few options for wrasses it's all down to your preferences. Shaun(tangstank) is selling his red head wrasse for $100, that's a steal considering they are rare and awesome! Blennies are alway a go but again it comes down to what your preference. My .02
 
I was thinking about 6-line. I used to have one until it jumped. I'm making a screen top tomorrow so that shouldn't be an issue anymore. Any experience with types of wrasses?

Screen tops are a must. Most of the reef safe wrasses should be fine in your tank. They love to swim but most don't need a huge tank. Just watch it eat before you buy would be my recommendation.

Thanks! My flame hasn't picked anything yet so hopefully he continues to behave. I know I can get him out if he does start picking because I couldn't keep him out of my trap! That was my worry about the anthias as well. I do like the Helfrichi too!
 
The sixline is the only one that I've had luck with. I had a red head fairy wrasse that disappeared after 2 days.
 
I hate sixlines,they get to mean. If you want one I have one you can have. I am getting more into wrasses and getting away from tangs/angels and big fish. Are you looking for a hunting fish to help with pests or just some good looking fish? I know you asked about the wrasses in my pics on the other site. I think I like my two fairy wrasses I got last week more but dont have pics yet.
 
Luckily I haven't had any issues with mine over the last 2 years. I know it's a more common fish but I just like the way it adds life to the tank by zipping in and out of the rock.

I'm pretty much looking for some colorful active fish. I don't really have a pest problem so im not too concerned with that. I really like the fairy wrasse. Can you mix them? Thanks!
 
Yes you can. A few are crazy prices but there are many good looking ones at reasonable prices. If you have established ones in your tank an acclimation box or your trap would help them get used to each other for the first few days.
