New Reef Octopus Diablo Controllable DC Skimmers?

Reef Octopus has been busy working on ways to advance their already popular line of Diablo protein skimmers which until now has only powered by the Sicce PSK pumps. These NEW Diablo controllable Direct Current “DC” pinwheel skimmer pumps are the latest in protein skimmer technology and allows for refined control, enhanced performance and efficiency. The Diablo “DC” Skimmers will come in 6 (8-10″ body) models including 3 standard in-sump skimmers as well as 3 recirculating external skimmers. So what do you guys think? It looks Cool but will it be worth the extra cash for a controllable pump??

sounds like marketing whoo haa, i would need more info about the pump than its "direct current" because as an electrical engineer that says to me brushed motor which i would think would be a bad idea, a pwm brushless ac motor would be better for a controlled motor
