Okay, getting stumped here. After moving into the 50 SCA about 6 weeks ago nitrates got elevated, and cyno showed up. Figured it was from new sand. I did seed they new tank with about a cup of sand from the 20. I have been doing 5 gallon water changes every/every other day for 2 weeks and the nitrates have not even budged. I have only the 2 clowns, feed them daily a total of around 8-10 1mm pellets. They eat it all, very little ecaspes them. 1 week (maybe) feed Reef Roids and/ or frozen mysis. I feed 1/2 dose of the roids and maybe 1/8 of the cube. I have rinsed out foam in trigger sump and on MP10's, cleaned detritus from pump section, still no change, what am I missing here?
