So unsure if this is a form of aptasia? I assume its a pest? If so how to eradicate?

Also what's the consensus on Vermitid worms? I've heard good and bad, but unsure, opinions?

I think the first one is a ball nem.
I would superglue that vermitid. I don't like to kill pests but their snot net is bothersome to everyone.

Cool, I was wondering what creature had the mucous net in my tank. I personally think it is awesome and hasn't bothered the large SPS colony it is under. I love have such diversity in my tank as long as it isn't harming something else.

first pic is a ball anemone which is actually a type of mushroom coral, the second are vermitid, I hate em, you can smash em or super glue them, but if u have a couple, they are all over your tank. They are not directly harmful, but their muscus webs that they use to catch food will irritate corals (especially sps)

Good to know. The Vermitid were superglued and found a way to pop out again. I thought they were part of my zoos, but I guess not, lol.

i execute the same philosophy 100%. I even have a sanctuary for all pests that I can remove. The Verms are an exception because they took advantage of my kindness and exploded in population. If you like the look of their tiny spires EVERYWHERE and a nice mucous net slowly killing everything else in your tank, then just leave one or two do their happy thing. Their population growth is exponential and the more you get the more they get into unreachable places to make future removal nearly impossible. I usually only kill to eat or protect my interests. I one considers the unreasonable sums of money spent on the hobby, then the molluscicide is fully justifiable (IMHO)
