Overflow noise

How can I silence my overflow from the outside standpipe? It's not possible inside the overflow box, there's just no room to do a stockman nor maggie muffler. My only option is to do it from the outside standpipe.View attachment 15942View attachment 15943

I put Bio Balls in my overflows and it cut the noise substantially...

Of course they trap nutrients thus a Macro Algae Refugium down wind is necessary.

I have a hole drilled into the top of the drain pipe. It allows air in so I don't get the "gurgling" sound. Is that the noise you're hearing?

Yup. I did solved the problem by putting a reverse durso at the end of the drain in the sump.
