Overflow prevention

So I want to start a new 20 gallon build. My main concern is that where my tank is going to sit there is carpet of something happens and the DT tank overflows I'd be in a bad situation because it's brand new carpet. Is there a way to prevent a situation like this like drilling a higher drain hole or what???????? Any help is appreciated maybe a diagram would help. And thanks to all in advance.

well i was more concerned with my tank overflowing rather than my sump, but my sump is less than 1/2 way filled. so idk which you would prefer. i think if you did a c2c overflow on a 20 it would be nice.

I like the idea of the bean animal but seems so complicated.

Not at all complicated a tually once you have it set you can forget it since i adjusted mine i havent touched it and its quiet and the only one you adjust is the full siphon theres a link that will show you names of the pvc and what piecevfits where really helpful since the people at hardware store think your nutz playing with all thes fittings

is it 3 1" bulkheads? And do you need the c2c because I looked it up and has it

Found some info. Where can I find the material to make a c2c? Should I use glass to make it or acrylic.

I used black acrylic with the correct glue you will be fine just use tape to hold in place and silicone and you dont have to do coqst to coast ypu can do one that is what ever size you want i was making one for some one on here that was 14*6 for a 6 ft tank c2c more suface skimming thats all

C2c would b nice but the problem is with a small tank ur gonna take up alot of space in ur tank. With the elbows in there and the box ur looking to lose around 3" then how ever long ur gonna make it.
