How 'mixed' is your tank and depth of your tank play big factors.

I'm running 4 AI26HDs about 6" above water level @54% and get ~150 on the sand and ~600 4" down from the water level in a 21" deep tank. inhabitants are from chalice, scoly, acan, zoa, clam to acros.

Picture with PAR numbers had a different mix of lights....I'm running 4 AI26HDs now to improve distribution/uniformity of PAR.

I just ordered two hydra hd's for my reefer. Great info. Thanks!
i thought id go the Hydra HD route when they were released but now i think Radion Gen4s are everything hydra Hds are plus more :)

Hydra HDs are too concentrated in their beams i think .. radions put out more than enough light but it is little more dispersed than hydras..

just saying ..

I have predominantly acropora and my max PAR on any acro is 270. I'm growing acros just fine as low as 150.

Check out this Dana Riddle video. Super informative and worth the watch.
