Lol this issue was a wierd one guess it kinda worked out in the end least it wasnt one my expensive piece of equipment

Amen learn something new every day . Like u said maybe if everone ran a ph probe it doubles as a stray current detector . Stray current causes all types of issues even had a buddy call me one time and say his hippo tang was all jacked up like someone beating on it and all his other tangs stoped eating i told him check for stray current he actually found some coming from his water change system that was only connected by pvc pipes and the salt creep in the pipe was carring the current he changed pumps all tangs started eating again.

Hey joe. Was the probe that was bad a off brand or a DA one?
Either way. Im glad your ph issue was a false reading and that the corals didnt suffer.
