You will need two IMO with one MJ1200. This is how I have mine running. Also the BRS dual will do the job, but I dislike this product :D

On smaller tanks, you can run a single BRS reactor. Pack the carbon in the top of the cartridge, press middle disc in place, then fill your GFO/Phosban in the lower area, screw on bottom of cartridge, and rinse from the top down (so GFO dust rinses out and not thru the carbon) Then just run it so you see a ripple on the surface of the GFO. Apparently BamBam likes to see his GFO fly around a reactor like BioPellets...:secret: This leads to the GFO grinding and releasing dust that will both clog the carbon block and damage your corals if it gets into your display. (just kidding bambam, not sure why your dual doesn't work well) This works for tanks up to about 75 gallon. For tanks over 75, you cant get away with a single BRS reactor, and will either need dual, or another brand like Two Little Fishies reactors.
