ok my pink tail trigger is not acting right . was eating yesterday was always active and hungry . hes built like a bulldog not skinny at all. just went to feed and he just sat there . so I reached in figured he take off nope grabbed him put him in qt . no spots no marks perfect colors , clear eyes , alert eyes , breathing normal not even remotely heavy . I have no clue what to even treat for. while back had flukes on his eyes tank was treated for ever he was fresh water dipped ben clear of flukes since. no body is scratching all eating . well except eel hmmm? . any ideas . if flukes were in his gills he be breathing heavy right
 
I would try different food. My pinktail went a period of of time with white spots on him. I did extra water changes for a while and I ran the uv. But that was several years ago, he's fine now. Eventually he just got better.

Hes still alive but still not moveing . Still very alert the pellets have lots of vitamins and the shrimp mixture contains shrimp , spirlina brine, mysis, pollock, clam, ginger, and metro, focus, and i been thinking bout it and when i came home yesterday i feed pellets . He was swimming and ate em. Then hour later i feed some if the shrikp mixture for that butterfky i got from jose because he wont touch pellets still. Thats when i noticed no one bitting my finger while feeding. I was like wheres the trigger then i look down and hes jyst chilling. I wonder if got a pellet stuck or something or hit his head idk . Hope he pulls through hes awsome fish great personality
 
Hey mine acted sick and I was scared but he pulled through. I kind of thought he was pulling a clown loach trick laying down playing dead. But he got better. He's probably just messing with you.

Have you tried enticing it with some live food, or a closed mollusk / scallop? Something to engage its mind as well as stomache? Just a wild guess though! Hope he pulls through for you!
 
Yea i tried . Im hopeing some rest in the qt will get him back on his game . Hes still sitting upright and alert so hopfully its just a temp thing
 
Maybe an internal parasite that hasn't showed up yet. Try an uv sterilizer or give him a therapeutic bath, had a powder blue that looked fine but was acting funny, gave him a freshwater bath (didn't have medicine for a therapeutic bath) and has never been better since. Hope this helped or maybe gave you some ideas!

Ive tried it all . Hes gotten medicated fresh water baths and treated with prazi, metro , focus , copper , quick cure . No worse no better . Kinda at a stand still . Its either gonna get better or die . All i can do is make it comfortable and wait. But thanks for tryingvto help . Think its out of e control now :( im very sad by it

I think he will be fine. Triggers are tough how old is he? How big is the tank he's in again?

Hes not very old i dont think . Ive seen them three times his size hes about 4.5 inches right now he was in my 90 gal. Tank size has nothing to do with it. He could have damage from flukes he had while back. Could of been bad piece of shrimp . He was munching on a shrimp that was in tank over night that the eel chewed up and didnt eat it can be any thing
