Ok guys so I have read probably like I don't even know how many articles on herbie overflow and I don't know how to plumb it like I'm serious dumb in this topic.. I was going to go to home Depot within the next few days to buy plumbing parts but I don't know what I need and how many I need. Also do I glue then or get stuff that I can thread on.

If you haven't started yet and have not seen this article on the herbie its the easiest one to follow and understand http://gmacreef.com/herbie-overflow-reef-tank-plumbing-method-basics/ How you connect your pipe fittings is all dependent on what you purchase threaded vs non threaded or slip for pvc. I personally do not recommend threaded pvc piping because you have that chance of leaking. The primer and glue combo helps the pvc slip pipe to swell once applied and chemically bond together so there is less chance of failure for the slip pvc. One more word of advice if you go with the slip pvc when applying the glue you need to hold the 2 connected ends of the pipe for about 5-10 seconds because the pipe does swell and will push the pieces away from each other, and thats why people have failure on hard plumbed tanks.
