Powerhead Advice

Hello all! I am in desperate need of buying new powerheads and was hoping to get your take on it. My tank is a 55 gallon mixed reef (mostly soft and LPS).

I was looking at the Aqamai KPS Wavemaker Pump as a potential as well as the Current USA eFlux Wave Pump kit. Does anyone have experience with either of those? Or if you have suggestions of other ones, that would be great.

I would like to be able to have schedules so the pumps will slow down at night and during feeding times if possible. But of course cost is always a big factor.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Are you trying to have these as stand-alone pumps or integrated into a controller like an Apex or RKL?

While I haven't used the pumps you listed at hand, they're basically the same old DC pumps out in the market but with WiFi controllability. If you budget is tight, Jebao pumps are budget friendly DC pumps that come with a basic controller that will do what you want, feed and night mode you just have to push physical buttons. But unlike the Aquamai or eFlux, if you want to schedule wave patterns with a Jebao, you would need to integrate it with a full controller to take advantage of that.

If you want to try a Jebao, I have two older ones I could sell for cheap, just trying to get it out my house. Shoot me a PM if interested.
