Got three the other day. After lights out I had two and after the next lights out I have only one left. They seem healthy and the other two fish I have are doing fine that I got at the same time. Checked sump and overflows. No sign of them

They usually kill each other off until there is a pair or just one left. If you got wild ones they are notorious for just dying overnight. Even after having them for 6 months it still happens. It happened to me twice. Captive bred are far more tolerant to tank conditions and tend to do much better in the long term than wild caught.

yea they take each other out . if u gonna buy em usually want them already paired . even then u trusting lfs to not be lieing if they not swimming together in the tank at lfs they probably not a real pair and one will take out the other . I had 2 one ate like pig died first the other never ate. never got any more
