Protein Skimmer for 125G

I'm planning on heavily stocking my 125G Reef. Any suggestions on a protein skimmer? I'm torn between the New Reef Octopus Classic 202s or the bubble magus curve 9.

Take a look at Skimz. Great skimmers.

I like reef octopus, but not the classic mode.
Curve 9 will get the job done, but very noisy.

Vertex 150 or a 180 are work horses also IMO

I was going to get a Vertex, but decided to try out the new Nyos stuff. I have been really happy with their Quantum 120. There's several great brands out there that should do just fine... most of them already listed here. I have not tried a Bubble King, but have heard a lot of good things about them also.

I would get something with tinted body and can take apart to clean inside.
I want to try an avast.


Drinking from a fire hose and reef keepin have all too much in common!

I have an avast cone skimmer with the tinted body. I like it so far! I've only had it a week though.

Which model did you get? I was gonna full trigger on large one. My Octo SRO3000INT does a good job. Had to replace impeller.

I believe it's a cs1, it came used with my tank. I also have the swabbie neck cleaner with it. Works beautifully.
