Hey guys looking if anyone has an old protein skimmer they want to get rid off or a relatively cheap one by chance thanks
 
Yea that's why I want to get one everyone tells me it makes thing easier as far water maintenance.. Just need to find one reasonable price and that will fit in my overflow box of my jbj 30rl

I agree with JJ don't skimp out on a skimmer. You say you want better water quality and all a crap skimmer will do is make you think your doing your livestock a favor. I would reccomend the Innovative Marine skimmer line for a nano of your size.
 
is a skimmer really needed in a tank with such a small volume of water? with a 30g tank i doubt you have more than 20g of water, so a 5g per week water change along with light feeding would do wonders i'd think.
 
YA i would invest in an auto water changer system instead of a cheap little skimmer.. Litermeter is what I've had for about 20 years now. but I'm sure they make all kinds/brands nowadays.... if you do regular automatic water changes you won't need a skimmer on a little tank.
