I just bought the SWC 160 waiting to put it in my new tank after much reading and from people on here I decided to go with SWC

I own Reef Octopus NWB200, its a great skimmer. And can be upgraded later to a SRO 3000. But they just raising prices by 20%. I would look at other skimmers.
But I do like their new dc pump skimmers.

I would look for a used one. I recently got a swc 160 for, 100$ and it's awesome. I love it. Easy to adjust and of I need to get a new pump u basically have a new skimmer. The body is just a shell. The pump is the heart of the skimmer Imo. So look for used. But octopus is a great skimmer. Jsut really pricey new.

I have the Reef Octopus NWB200 and it works like a charm, I bought it used of a member here so I got it pretty cheap also . In my opinion just keep your eyes peeled for a used one to go on sale and like Anthony said you might just have to replace the pump but you will most likely get a great deal.
