Purple tang

Hi everyone
I have had my purple tang for almost a year and just recently noticed that his face has lost some of its purple and looks like it is shedding with a white hue to it. Also his fins look like they have been nipped at. He has been eating very well and I see no visible signs of aggression in my reef tank. Any ideas or remedies.

Fin rot probably. Some kind of infection. You can try Melafix in a quarantine tank.

Can you post pics? A visual helps to better diagnose the problem.

Pics will help, but sounds like it could be a couple different things goin on. Possible HLLE, fin rot, or maybe flukes. Post some pics!

My purple tang has some white lines around the eyes, pretty sure it's Hlle.
