Who has one and what can you tell me?

Im curious why you are asking for all this info now before buying the fish, there are probably a dozen people on their way there right now to pick it up! LOL

Mark MMReefCrazy also has one. Very desirable and VERY pricey for an single (let alone a harem!), but I question just how "rare" it really is. I'm sure they are easy enough to track down if you want one. I would buy one at $189 in a heartbeat if it looks healthy. Maybe in a few weeks when my 180 is up and running.

They are rare/expensive because they are seasonal, deep water fish, collected in the winter months only. You will not see them again until next Dec - March. The reason is because those are the warmer months where they are located in the Pacific so they come up from the deeper depths where they naturally live which makes them more easy to catch. If people had to do decompression dives each time to "hunt" for them they would be very pricey fishes (like Curacao candy basslets).

They are a great fish with a big personality. Mine thought he was a clown fish and then after he got past that stage he spends his days chasing chromis around. Eats like a pig from frozen to pellets. They do better as singles in captivity... no harem.

@ Brian it was a beautiful little fish. Guess I will be back again this weekend. Can't believe my luck sucks I won't be able to use that sharp looking canopy.

They are great looking in person. BTW anybody in the area, Exotic Aquatics in Algonquin has one for $199...

This is really my dream fish. I love these guys. I stuck a handful of my raffle tickets into that box at MACI. I was hoping I would walk away with one. But alas...I am a loser.

Yeah bud this was offered at MACI but i just stopped in a store and inquired about them they are starting be in season this month but not many stores carry them!! Im getting 2 soon :P
