Reef keeper question.

When using a controller, such as a DA reef keeper, to control a heater where do you set the temp on your heater?
For example if you want your aquarium at 77, do you set heater to 78? Higher?

In my program i have it set for 77. Where should i set the thermostat on the heater itself?

I have my heater set at 80 and my reef keeper at 78.
