reef octopus ext 160

came back from work today my skimmer was overflown, it look like not sufficient air was deliver to pump i cut power suplly , pluged it back and it works, i also checked every part even switch tubing for air looks like s working for now but i had also problem with keeping the same water level inside the skimmer hm.... pump????, what else should i look for???

is the skimmer new? has it been broken in yet?

it looks to be an in sump skimmer, so is the water level around the skimmer constant (and at the correct height)?
was your outlet either shut off, or too tight?

there are really a lot of factors here, so make sure to check everything in the setup carefully.

water is in constant 9" like on instuctions skimmer is in use 16 months, in skimmer level water was right when the collection cup stars , its not hthe first time that happend

Check your venturi, where air hose connect to intake of the pump.Salt creep likes to accumulate there. It might be restricting air flow .

you right again mmreef alot of salt like thing will see and as of outlet pipe will see hey mm help me with second thread please

If that happens again, just blow into the air hose. that quickly unclogs it. i have the same skimmer, but the 200 version.
